ABOUT ME
Music has been the main drive in my life since I can remember; one of my earliest memories is dancing round my parents old house in Bradford to ‘Help’ by The Beatles and ‘Vibeology’ by Paula Abdul (my dad has eclectic tastes!).
I started playing guitar at 11 and have been writing songs since I was about 15, so eventually the solo vanity side project will out once we’re famous and a rarities boxset of all my stuff is compiled from my old computer!
Music is a beautiful thing, and the ability to create a feeling or emotion by strumming a few chords or singing a simple melody is something that I feel blessed to be able to do.
I’ve played in three proper bands so far- Shine throughout school, followed by Blue Green Conspiracy while I was at university, and now The Stines with my boys from back home on the Wirral. It’s good to be concentrating on playing guitar having been lead vocalist in my previous band, and awesome to be on stage with the legend that is Leon Snow- I challenge anyone to find a better frontman on our beautiful peninsula! Oscar has been a good friend since I was in my early teens and Vince has become a close campadre and fierce Pro Evo rival since I joined the band back in the summer!
I’m really enjoying playing with these guys and especially so since we have started writing some new material together. Hopefully soon we’ll have a shiny new demo to wow you all with, and if there’s something new or exciting in any of our songs for people to enjoy then it’s all going to be worth it.
Rock n’ Grohl.
JV
